I'll tell you the story of this piece: At the end of the 19th century, it was placed at the entrance to the main kitchen of the extinct hacienda La Guadalupana in Teocaltiche and for decades it functioned as a door. Years went by and during a remodeling the entrance was covered on the outside, so in order not to dismantle it, these shelves were placed on it to use it as a kitchen shelf, and it functioned like this for a couple more decades, until the landowner died and his children sold the hacienda to make way for a subdivision.
IT IS A VERY VERY SPECIAL PIECE AND IS IN PERFECT USABLE CONDITION.
This piece is waxed and polished by hand, and protected with marine varnish.
